Just a couple of weeks ago, a quick fix was done on one of the wheels. Since these Ultraleggeras were black, it’s going to be easy. The wheel weren’t even removed for the job. All that was needed was some sandpaper, black and clear spray cans, some paper tape and some quick drying cement epoxy, the affected wheel area was sanded down, pits and valleys filled with epoxy and sanded smooth.
I’m that much closer to completing the E34 with the addition of these AC Schnitzer 19″ Type IIs. Here they are raw from storage. Pretty filthy from the pictures and there are also some chips and curb marks, but they are still pretty much virgins in terms of not being painted on, ever. I have intentions of getting them powder coated but have yet to find a shop that does it.
Have been searching forever for a set of AC Schnitzer Type II in 19s from the E39 and up. And here they are! It’s in 8.5″ and 9.5″. It may not look like any change at all from my current 18″ type IIs but believe me, they are, in both size and design.
As pictured, the 19X9.5 rear alongside the 18×8.5s on the car. Can’t wait to collect them real soon
I have recently found a set of the classic single-lug DTM M3 wheels. It comes in a set of 5 pieces. They are authentic BBS magnesium race wheels that came off the E30 M3 DTM race car. They are 18X9.5 all round. What’s needed to fit them on is the hard part. Careful measurement and precise engineering of the spacer-cum-adaptor. I am still unsure if i will put it on the E34 for now but I am definately getting the wheels.
