More Photos of the new Paint and DPE Wheels

So its 2012, a new year and a new look for the E34. A substantial change to the BM for a decade. The AC Schnitzer Type IIs have been sold and replaced with this set of DPE S10 in 20X9.5 and 20X10.5 stretched on 245/30/20 and 245/35/20. It was bought used from an E60 that ordered his set in the deepest dish possible.

Still getting used to the size of the new wheels, especially being my first set of 20s. I felt they gel better with the new body colour more than the Black ACS Type II

In its custom offset which i have yet to find out, and as it seems, DPE and most custom wheels manufacturers hardly reveals dimension numbers. Surprisingly it fits with no major problems. The offset seems pretty spot on though a minimal, say 5-10mm spacer might be useful if I do stretch on smaller tyres in the future.

Not a great deal of poke from the wheels, but good enough for something unplanned. No close ups for now. The wheels are yet to be refurbished, pending decision to paint or polish

The rear need some more slamming and would definitely incur some rubbing and exhaust getting more intimate with the humps, as it already is.

Fills the Arches perfectly.

Finally, la pièce de résistance :)

E34: Some pictures of the recent changes :)

img_6394

With less than satisfactory updates for the past few weeks, here are some better pictures. The recent nose and paint job did wonders in cleaning up the face as well as the body. The AC Schnitzer replica bodykit was never gloss painted until now. Ever since i put it on the last 7,8 years, it stayed flat black to disguise the waves in the finish.  Something i can never tolerate. Continue reading

Quick Picture: E34 at the basement + Scirocco by Caractere + Big Magnum

e34

Just not so long ago, I had the opportunity to meet Exotic Mods‘ latest pieces. Owner, Shedden had just finished both the Cayenne + TechArt and Scirocco + Caractere. It’s fresh from the paint oven. To think I was to receive the Scirocco from VW for a test drive and I had already managed to slightly molest a done up one. Claimed to be the first ever modified Scirocco in Malaysia.

I won’t bore anyone with the review of the Scirocco, but for those who loves the current VWs and Audis, this one’s for you. It’s as easy to operate as the DSG Golf V, just bigger. This one, almost completely revamped by Exotic Mods includes:

  1. Caractere front bumper add-on
  2. Caractere front grille
  3. Caractere side skirts
  4. Caractere roof spoiler – sports
  5. Caractere rear add-on
  6. Caractere Twin Exhaust
  7. Brembo GT kit Big Brakes – front
  8. H&R sport springs
  9. H&R anti-rollbars
  10. Exotic Mods Stage 2 remap
  11. Prius 6000K HID Conversion Kit for Fog Lights
  12. Blesk LED Parking Lights
  13. Blesk LED License Plate Lights
  14. Blesk LED Side Mirror Flood Lights

Europrojektz Malaysia – First Group Shoot.

group-see-through

Just last Friday, the Malaysian chapter of Europrojektz, decided to do a small shoot. The Monsoon season didn’t stop us shooting in the drizzle. Fortunately, the pictures came out well and well worth the effort.

The shoot was done in a local shopping mall, Sunway Pyramid, top floor – car park. The parking lot was far from empty. It was peak Friday dinner hour but we managed anyway.

Cruise shots of the E34 and the MINI

mini-rs

Thanks to Abdullah Al-Ahdal | Ahdalphoto.com for taking the time to shoot the 2 cars. Typical monsoon season provided a different perspective and of course, spoilt the shooting session. So there are only 2 shots for now.  Also, I’d like to debut the flat black headlight surrounds by Angeline on the MINI, Done by Herself.

Though the rain screwed the shoot, it still managed to produce the above. At least I have a shot of the E34 in the wet :) . Another session will be arranged for a full feature. This will probably be the last few shots of the E34 in the current state. Aesthetic changes awaits.
