<p>What you&#8217;re seeing above is my third attempt at the exhaust for the V12. (tips weren&#8217;t welded) A good change from my mangled AC Schnitzer exhaust. (it&#8217;s for sale now). The system above started with just 4 pieces of cylindrical silencers. Sounds really great but was just way too loud.</p>

<p>Then I had the end silencers removed and fitted the rectangular ones you see in the picture at the end. both Vertically fitted for clearance purposes. The rectangular muffler also had a restrictor fitted to further quiet it down.  Sounds More muffled but just doesn&#8217;t sound right. Looks real ugly too.</p>
<p>This time, the 3rd time visiting the shop, I got the rectangulars welded to the front, then the little cylindrical silencers, then the X-pipe and then the longer cylindricals. This time, i&#8217;m happy. More pictures and sound video to come <img src='http://www.euroasians.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Here&#8217;s the Ericsson M480 full titanium system for the E92 M3. Gotta love the double barrel design which is going to be my base idea for my own stainless exhaust system. Tough the E34 only allows for a single side. I might be getting a custom fuel tank in the future to allow for twins on either side. There are also a couple of other exhaust system in the gallery, namely the Supersprint system for the E60 M5.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a video of my almost-complete project V12 E34. I now have manual throttle bodies instead of the drive-by-wire ones. I had problems with drive-by-wire throttles due to the absence of the stock automatic transmission and probably some other sensors which just seems too tedious to incorporate with my plans of fusing the V12 and M20 harness.</p>
<p>In the ECU compartment there are a total of 4 ECUs.<span id="more-64"></span></p>
<ol>
<li>1 for the drive-by-wire</li>
<li>1 for the automatic transmission</li>
<li>2 for each 6 cylinder banks</li>
</ol>
<p>The motronic ECU is pretty much like an M20 ECU, just that the V12 has 2 of them for each bank.</p>
<p>Other updates includes the exhaust. Apparently my AC Schnitzer Exhaust system isn&#8217;t flow efficient for the V12. I have decided to use the middle section of the system instead.</p>
<p>Other stuff includes the intake elbows for the air filters later.</p>

<p>One reason why i wanted to get these one-off exhaust manifolds made is because i needed them and also, they&#8217;re a must-have!. It&#8217;s a needed part purely because the stock ones just won&#8217;t clear the Right hand drive steering shaft.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a tough job trying to make these stainless steel manifolds. lotsa clearance issues especially where <span id="more-35"></span>the flange will bolt the downpipes and the downpipes themselves. Pre-emptive thinking and precise measurements were made so the downpipes could go through in between starter and front subframe and lower arms.</p>

<p>Manifolds done. Now, it&#8217;s the exhaust that needs some serious thinking. The fuel tank is a turn off. A big tank right at the bottom of the spare wheel well just right for single muffler. I don&#8217;t have time to wait for more fabrication which i&#8217;d love to for a twin muffler rear exhaust. For that, i have to remove the sprare wheel well, and then either elevate the fuel tank or make one within the spare wheel well itself and scrap the stock fuel tank.</p>

<p>What i&#8217;ve decided for now is that i&#8217;ll just use my current AC Schnitzer exhaust while replacing the existing pipes meant for a 2.5 with bigger ones to make it breath better. I&#8217;ve always loved the sound it makes and i think it will sound awesome with the V12 going through it.</p>
<p>The future will see a full titanium exhaust exiting twin rear mufflers!</p>

<p>Custom exhaust manifolds have to be made to clear the steering shaft since in Asia, most of us drive a right-hand-drive. I&#8217;ve already thought of my design for it. They wil be made tomorrow.</p>
