E30 M3 DTM Center Lock wheels just refurbished – finally

Some of you may remember from this post, where i acquired a set of 5 E30 DTM single lug / mono lug / center lock wheels last year in April. Today, i finally collected them from the shop. They have been sandblasted and refurbished back to their glory days. I decided to have them finished in racing white.

This is how these babies would look when mounted! I was intending to mount them on my E34 just for fun if I could find the locsking hubs for the wheels. Which can be purchased from sites like these – Racecarsdirect.com M3 E30 Center Lock HUBS BBS. But looking at them now, it’ll be a great addition to my still, WIP E30.

This was how they looked like.

Sex on wheels – all five of them. Just a note. These wheels have been booked by Rudy for the longest time – sorry for the wait Rudy.

  1. Hi again Tom, Thank you for answering. If I know that they are difficult to find, all days I look this web to see if there are rims….. and if for some reason you want to sell the rims since say to me to reach an agreement….

    Regards.

    Victor.

  2. Hey Tom, I am a big fan of your E34. Might be the best E34 I have seen so far. May I know where you refurbished those rims? I need to do a make over to my rims. Thanks

  3. hi john, are you from around here in Malaysia?
if yes, the wheels were refurbished in a shop located at Sungai Besi, do let me know if you need the contact number

    thanks!
    Tom

  4. Hey Tom. Yeah Im Malaysian, specifically live in Ampang ! Hahahaa I think Ive seen your car around here somewhere near Ampang Point, but that was a long time ago.

About the shop, I absolutely want to know about them.

  5. Hi John

really? i live in Ampang too, would i have seen you around too, care to enlighten?

anyway, the shop is located somewhere behind Volvo / Auto Bavaria, where all the welders, junk shops are. Basically, from tun razak, head to sungai besi, pass the old F&N area and then slow down when approaching the Shell Station, then turn left at the next opening, just before a currently on-going construction project.

this guy is called Ah Chai, 019 323 1166

the Job may not be THE best, but they get it done and at a real good deal.
They also sandblast / Chemical dip the wheels which most shops only manage with sandpaper. As for the finish, they only do painting and not powder coating.
If you need to powder coat, you can rely on this guy to sandblast or repair beforehand.

    good luck

  6. hi howard

i am planning to use them when i find the hubs,
as for selling this set of 5, i’m sorry but i’d be looking at USD3500 onwards

i really love the wheels and would only part with them for good offer

  7. Hey Tom, I have tried to mail you several times about these wheels. maybe I have the wrong mail. Please can you provide an email address to contact you on.
