I have recently found a set of the classic single-lug DTM M3 wheels. It comes in a set of 5 pieces. They are authentic BBS magnesium race wheels that came off the E30 M3 DTM race car. They are 18X9.5 all round. What’s needed to fit them on is the hard part. Careful measurement and precise engineering of the spacer-cum-adaptor. I am still unsure if i will put it on the E34 for now but I am definately getting the wheels.

Wow, single lug wheel. must be careful to fit, wrong installation will make everything worse. but once you got perfect install everything worth it.
but be careful, Tom. Once we change the center PCD, each time we change bearing, or brake, etc. we need to re-do everything again from begining.
thanks sugi,
okay, it’s tedious to make the adaptor, but once made, it’s as easy to fit on as it is to remove. much like a bolted on spacer
Ooo, so you’ll make adaptor. I thought that you will custom the PCD.
well, if using adaptor should be no problem at all, just plug n play ya ?
hahaha keep update the project , Tom.
Nice wheel you found there. it’s rare enough.
yeah, just need to compile as many example pictures of the adaptor to assist the engineering shop. doesn’t look like a simple job tough.
well, believe it or not, back in the days when i had my E30, i found them about 6 years back and couldn’t bring myself to buy it. then it went missing. forever.
until one day, when i visited a friend’s shop months ago and saw them lying in a corner.
this guy is willing to let me have it for a good price. so i took it.
Hi, did you ever fit these rims onto your e34? I would like to ask you a few questions about the rims, feel free to give me an email back when you have a moment. Thanks!
Hi Rudy
nope, unfortunately i have decided not to due to all the effort involved..
thanks
Do you still have the rims? If so, I would like to buy them. Feel free to email me with a reply. Thank you!
Hi Tom, any updates? I would still like to buy these rims if you have them. Let me know please.
hi Rudy,
sorry i didn’t notice this post
yes i still have them in storage. again, in 5 pieces of the same wheel.
I wasn’t able to proceed with fitting on the wheels becuase i couldn’t locate the proper adaptors and it’s hard to make one here that’s light or safe to drive on
I don’t have an idea how much to sell them yet, do you have an offer for me?
you can email me at tom@zerotohundred.com if you like
thanks rudy
Hi Tom,
I just emailed you. Thanks!
hi Rudy
can you give me price for the rims if they are not sold. Please email me: alexander@dulgerov.com
Thanks in advance
Hi there Alex,
I haven’t gotten a reply from Tom in awhile, I am not sure what the status is with the rims currently. We will have to await his reply. Do you have a DTM car you are putting these on? What chassis # is it?
Cheers!
hi Alex,
Thanks for the enquiry,
i apologise for the late reply.
The wheels have been booked by Rudy in fact(above)
Rudy,
Sorry to have you post a reply here about the wheels.
I have yet to make a visit south.
However, I have requested for my buddies to send the wheels up to be stored at my place when they visit me this weekend
sorry to have to have you wait so much longer
Hi Tom,
No worries, just was curious because I sent an email to you a couple weeks ago I think and never got a reply. Take your time and keep me posted. Thank you very much!
Hi to both of you. Here is my car http://dulgerov.com/gallery/gal/BMW_M3_Turbo_Construction/P4300141.JPG if someone of you change his mind – feel free to contact me. Thanks
