Time to share a little about my E30. Well, it’s a 1989 E30 325i manual from the UK. It’s got a 2.7 stroker from the 325e ETA engine. As for mods, there’s Unichip, Borla full exhaust, Hamann HM2 in 18X8.5 ET13 from the E39 to match the wider body. It’s also got E36ti 5 lug conversion, with E46 325i brakes.
Unfortunately, there will be no updates on the car for sometime because i’ve put it in hibernation and before the V12 E34 can be completed, the E30 will still be in the shed.
Anyway. here are the last updates for the E30 since 2 years ago.
All this took 8 working days to complete:
4 days for the bodywork
4 days for the paintwork
Bodywork consists of:
-wider arches crafted out of metal.
-Side Skirts out of metal.
-MTech II body stayed
Paintwork
-Alpine White.
Thanks to sponsors:
-Visworks Autolab (JB) -Engine works

it is very well and great what you done to your 325i.. if you dont mind ..how much did it cost gor that great restoration..i have a e 30 just lyk you. but it needs a paint and mechanical job…
Dear Sir,
Beautiful E30. Would love to own it. I like the color and overall look of the car, especially the wheel archers.
thank you guys!
jason: nah, it didn’t cost me an arm/leg. many bodyshops are able to pull it off with proper instructions and experience. then it’s the paintjob.
s.Murali
thanks!
With your rear did u go the 5 stud with E36 compact subframe/trailing arms?? if so what rotor and brake combo are u using?? i`m doing it now and have some troubles
thanks
….BTW i love ur car… pure 5ex!
you car was posted a few years ago on E46Fanatics along with Sheddenn’s E46 sedan, I fell in love with it back then, and still think its one of the best E30′s I have ever seen. Was just wandering if there have been any updates since? Would love to see more pics.
hi Mr Saz:
sorry for the late reply
yes, it is from the E36ti.
i don’t see how it’ll not fit. mine fit with no problems whatsoever. i have also bought new rear ti discs for it before and also had no problems.
The only tedious part is getting the front E36 struts on. both camber and castor are a bitch to correct
care to share your problem?
Awesome E30 my friend. Care to send bigger pics to me so I can set one as my wallpaper ;]
i will try to find some bigger pictures to be linked from here
thanks!
Tom
i have an 325i convertible and i was wondering i am keep changing my suspensions and spring but i cannot get a good ride is bouncing too much.can u please tell me which suspensions or springs do i need as u are more experienced.thank u
hi j2kekyas
hmm, what are you running currently?
I assume you’re running lowering springs and stock shocks?
To upgrade you standard setup,
the safest bet would be to go for proper sports shocks like from the Bilsteins and Konis.
with good shocks, you can then match sports/lowering springs and achieve a good and firm ride.
What is so special about it? Looks the same as mine. Am I missing something?
hi biggie
probably nothing, good for you then. Probably half a brain?
Stunning car! side on silly! Going to save my pennies and get something very similar one day soon. Love the E30′s and 325i is what im looking for in Alpina white. Love the Wheels you have on the car when it sits on the trailer. Well done to you, I finally realise there are people out there like me who really appreciate a good ‘old car.
p.s give me an email when your selling, if that day ever comes!
Arn Wid.
hi Arn
Thanks! These oldies are great cars
whats the size and type of metal you used for your side skirts?
Any close ups of the flares and their constructuction. It took me a few minutes to figure out why it looked so much more aggressive than the other e30s. I love how something that subtle causes such a marked change in its apparent demeanor. I’m mostly curious on how the flares were stiffened once on the body, and how the fenders were modified to stay in line with the new flares. Great work.
hi james
it’s pretty simple actually,
the front fenders were beaten and pulled then reshaped.
the rears had sheet metal welded on and then reshaped.
the flares and the body are one, so there’s no question on stiffness. it’s basically a new fender by itself.
thanks, i’m glad you liked it
Hi Tom,
i have been viewing ur webpage sometime..get the news from kweng the exhaust shop tat done ur v12..
Anyway here’s the important wan.. did u plan to sell out ur e30? cuz im quite interested on it.. can i have more details n pic n everything for ur e30?

i don’t have plans to sell the E30 yet..
but thanks
bro your ride is damn nice bro.~
im currently doing mine….donno how long will it take…
anyway bro, im looking for workshop that can do e30 with M52B28 conversion, can you recommend bro? and also is there any workshop that you know can do good bodywork (remove rust and welding job).
thanks in advance bro.
hi sal,
thanks a lot!
to do M50 conversions, i have no better place to recommend than BM World. Call ah wai at 0162206687. they are based in Bandar Tun Razak KL
as for bodywork, well the place i used to go isn’t too efficient nowadays, so i’d not recommend it at the moment
Here’s a nice conversion:

Mind the dutch language: it’s an bmw e28 with s62 5.0 v8 with 450 hp.
Love your cars BTW
Hi there.. I own an E30 too.. But it’s a 4 door sedan. Currently running on 17inch volk racing.. I tried fitting 18 inch on it too but failed as it touches the wheel arch. How did u get yours to fit 18 inch and with the wheels out.. Really interested to know.. Btw smart looking car u have there.. I’m from port Dickson Malaysia current working in Kuching.. I have the pictures of my car on facebook. Do have a look and give me some ideas. It will be greatly appreciated.. Facebook add vengkat2285@gmail.com..
hi Bon2e, thanks! love the crazy project!
hi vengatesh, it depends on the wheels offset numbers as well as the tyre. but you can always roll the arches to clear the wheels assuming it’s not too wide.
Hi Tom.. What’s the best offset for e30 using 18 inch wheels.. What Bout those ac rims mine is currently 4 lugs.. What are the things y need for 5 lug conversion I read on your blog on the earlier part but don’t seem to understand.. In simple layman’s language and how much would it cost based on your vast experience and where can I get it from..
Thank you very much in advance for your great advice..
hi vengatesh,
depends how extreme you want to go, if you run 18s on 5 lugs conversion, regular 3 series offset from the newer E36 / E46 / E90 wheels with ET30 should do the trick. with 8.5″ jj you would need to roll the arches. tyres should stay at 225/35/18. you may also need to watch the inner wheel well as it might rub the insides.
try searching for craftmotorsport in sunway. they’re quite the experts in the stance field, though i have yet to personally visit them.
as for 5 lugs, you’d need parts from the e36 and/or the Z3.
I used regular E36 318i front struts with a modified lower arm lollypop bush to correct the castor angle.
for the Rear, i used the subframe from the E36 318ti which is the same as the Z3s.
It’s not the easiest things to source but it’s worth it
please can you tell me whats da best engine to put in a e30 325i
